Long Weekend

When I left work on Friday I only had one thing planned for the weekend but we ended up having an incredibly busy and productive weekend around these parts.  Friday was a bit of a killer day at work and as a result I was completely tired when I got home.  Jacque had plans to do some crafting with her friend so I just set up on the couch and started to play video games.  It wasn't long before we had a few people over to the house and we were all doing our own thing.  Jacque was crafting, I was playing video games and our other guests were just hanging out with us.  It was a very chill night and exactly what I needed after a hard days work.  It almost reminded me of high school a bit.

On Saturday we headed out to the High Noon Saloon for the Geekesque Burlesque where we got to watch some sexy lady's do sexy things on stage.  It was a fun night and I'm glad we were able to catch the show. 

On Sunday we had some people over and we hung out and watched movies all day.  We watched both Iron Man movies, The Incredible Hulk and Thor.  I don't even know where to begin telling you how awesome that was.  It had been a long time since anything like that had happened in the Mackey household.  I almost can't wait until winter just so I have an excuse to do stuff like that more often.

With work being closed for Labor Day we used Monday to get a few projects going.  We made some plans about the wedding party in October.  We meet with some friends for a bit in the afternoon.  We worked in the attic getting that ready to paint.  In fact I think we may be able to paint it this week sometime.  (If time permits)  Then to end the weekend on a high note we visited a friends house to sit around a fire before calling it a night.

Now to get back to work....hopefully It's half as fun as this weekend was.
