I have no idea who the guys on the right are but they look just like I did when I got done working in the attic last night. I should have worn a black shirt and taken a picture just so you could get the full effect of just how much drywall dust I was covered in. These guys are a good example of how messy the process is though.
For the first time since July 14th I did some serious work up there. I'm making progress but what a mess sanding drywall is. I can't believe how much dust it creates even with two fans set up to suck it out of the house. I couldn't imagine doing it full time for a living. On the other hand I am about 1/3 done with the job. Not bad for two days of sanding work (over the course of almost a month). Tonight I'm heading back up there to finish up some work I started yesterday and then it will most likely sit until sometime next week.
I must say, I love having a project that I don't have to finish right away. Normally when I'm working on something I just keep at it until it's done but this has been on going for almost a year now. I'll hop into the attic for a few hours and then walk away for a week or so. Around Christmas of last year I wasn't in the attic at all for about three months. If this was my living room getting new drywall I would have no choice but to keep working everyday. With the attic I don't even have to clean up when I'm done. I just break down the ladder and take a shower.
