I like space and stories about space. I've posted a few in the past here....and....OK so I've only posted one story in the past. Whatever! I did plan on writing more about space stories and maybe I was just too busy with video game stories to notice space stuff. Regardless of my current excuse for lack of space stories I finally have a good one that caught my attention.
Space bricks for the moon.
A group of college kids, that apparently have better things to do beside have sex and get drunk, have invented the first bricks that can be built entirely on the surface of the Moon. Utilizing lunar rocks and powderized aluminum the mixture is fused using super hot wire. Once the brick is fused together it becomes as hard and concrete as can even handle the low-gravity wear and tear of the Moon.
Granted the idea of a brick isn't exactly exciting space news but the idea of building a structure on the Moon is pretty exciting. If you don't find that exciting here is a cool space photo for you to look at.
That picture is from the Astronomy Picture of the Day website.
