Super Heroes

For awhile now the Mexican economy has started to become dependent on money sent back home from immigrant workers here in the United States.  Conversely the United States has started to become dependent on immigrant workers.  While I'm not an economics expert by any stretch of the imagination, I can plainly see how this effects both countries.  It is quite a bit harder to see the effects on the immigrant works who struggle to send that money home each month.  Immigrant workers typically work extremely long hours under intense physical and psychological conditions that most of us would never dream of working in.  On top of all that they do it for wages that are far below what we would even consider minuscule.  No matter how low the wage is a good portion of it is sent back to Mexico to families and friends who count on that money to survive.

Recently I found photographer Dulce Pinzón's collection of pictures about the immigrant workers plight.  She has taken these ordinary people and dressed them as super heroes doing their every day jobs.  It turned out to be a pretty cool photography project that I wanted to share with you.  Below is my favorite from the collection.

Aquaman's work is never done
