When I broke out all my old writing two weeks ago three things changed for me creatively.
For starters it feels like I'm working with a writing partner for the first time in my life. Sure that writing partner is me from 10 years ago but that guy has ideas and stories I don't think I could come up with by myself. Some of it good some of it not so good but it is fun to work on anyway.
The second thing that has changed is that I feel like I'm making tons and tons of progress on creative endeavors. I'm not going to lie, having half finished stories and detailed outlines of things helps keep the new creative juices flowing. It is pretty easy to sit down and work out a few new pages on a story when all the grunt work is mostly done already.
The big change however is in my rate of completion. When I was creating mostly artwork and videos I felt like I was accomplishing a lot more in a very small amount of time. Now that I'm working on these big writing projects I feel like everything has slowed down a bit. I've never been they type of person to just churn out artwork day after day. I tend to let me life get in the way of creating but it is plan to me that I've slowed down even more now that I'm writing again. To see evidence of this just look at my rate of blog posts. I've gone from two or three posts a week to this being my first post in a week.
So in an attempt to feel like I've finished a project here is a quick bit of art I just whipped up.
