Snowpocalypse 2011

So we survived the snowpocalypse of 2011 and we didn't even have to dig into our stash of frozen pizzas. The stash of blizzard beers on the other hand were annihilated long before the snow even came close to stopping. Actually here in Madison we didn't fair too bad for snowfall. When all was said and done we ended up with 13 inches of snow and drifts the size of me. Looking at the rest of the country we really got of lucky. It took Jacque and I about an hour to clean our the driveway and sidewalks but once that was done we had the day to ourselves.


We hung around the house and just ate food and watched movies the whole day. Safely cocooned away from the wind and snow.

While wasting away the day watching Harry Potter movies Jacque got the itch to bake some cookies for us. She decided to make Oreo Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies which I wholeheartedly supported. Basically they are chocolate chip cookies with an Oreo stuffed inside of it and baked. (You can find the recipe here) Despite how horribly unhealthy they are for you the one I ate was incredible. Jacque filmed me while I experience this delectable treat today.


I'm almost ashamed to say that the Oreo Stuffed Chocolate Chip cookie was in fact amazing. Much like the Denny's Fried Cheese Melt before it; I wish I was kidding when I say it is a tasty morsel that is incredible if you don't think about how horrible it is for you. The Oreo was soft and gooey and the crunchy chocolate chip shell that surrounds it is the perfect match for it. Unlike the Denny's Fried Cheese Melt which I have eaten twice now, I'm pretty sure I will never want to eat another Oreo Stuffed Chocolate Chip cookie again. Despite being ridiculously delectable I just don't have much of a sweet tooth. Now fried cheese in cheese and fried between bread on the other hand is right up my alley.
