When you live in a house that is only 600 square feet you find all sorts of neat solutions to keeping things small. Luckily for us we have a big open basement which can hide most of our junk but lately I've been thinking about what to do with the attic space we have.
To date I think I've been in the attic maybe four times total. It's big enough to hold a lot of stuff but for whatever reason I just haven't been up there. It needs work to make it livable space and you would still have to climb a latter to get up there.
I've kicked around ideas like opening up the ceiling in the living room and office to make the attic a loft to putting in a secret ladder in a closet for a hidden room. It wasn't until last night that I found a cool looking solution on how to access the attic once it has been renovated.
These very cool modular staircases from Italian manufacturers Misterstep are called the Mini Plus. Aside from the obvious space-saving attributes that the Mini Plus has, it’s also a very good looking set of stairs. Time will tell what I end up doing with the attic space but just knowing there are stairs like this around gives me hope for the future.
